Momentary Disarm for leaving / entering home
Is there a way to tell Ring Alarm to "mute" the alarm signal for say 60 seconds so you can go out the door? This would be convenient rather than having to disarm then arm again once out the door. The use case for this is: We work from home and Disarm during the day. At night, we set it to Home, and when we leave, set it to Away -- all standard. My son leaves for work very early in the morning. He has to disarm, go out the door, and then set to Home after leaving. Also, say we are settled into bed for the night and decide we need a snack, so I run out to the store (hey it happens more often than I'd like to admit!), would be nice to "mute" as I go out the door and "mute" as I come back in, since I really want it to stay on Home the whole time.

Thanks for your suggestion. I did play with the Exit and Entry delays and can definitely see the usefulness of those features, especially when using the keypad. We use the mobile app 99% of the time to change modes (though I typically use the keypad to enable Home mode when I'm locking the front door for the night). For the use cases I mentioned above -- basically when we have Home mode enabled and we want to go in or out the door but leave Home mode enabled, it is currently easier to just Disarm, go out the door and re-arm with Home. But in the process we get 5 notifications (disarm, door open, door close, front door motion, alarm Home) and the base and keypad are all yappy about the alarm modes changing. Ideally (and this seems like it would be a common use case), if the alarm is set to Home, if someone authorized is just going outside or back in, it would be great to have a one click "quick mute" that would say mute all notificatons and prevent alarm triggering for 60 seconds, without disarming and re-arming manually. Motion detectors would still record, etc. But since it's not a security event, it would be useful to have a quick way around this. I can also see other use cases: Need to briefly open a window that has a monitor, walk through an area that has a motion sensor, etc. I realize there are many other design considerations, but just wanted to give a general feature suggestion since I think it could be very useful and encourage people to use Ring Alarm even more since it helps overcome what can be mild annoyances that weren't present before a security system.

THi @mjans71. With such a detailed description, I can definitely see value in that! As we value our neighbors' feedback, we've created a [Feature Request board](https://community.ring.com/t5/Feature-Request-Board/idb-p/Feature_Request_Board). Feel free to add this and any future feature requests there. This will help us to organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place. Feel free to link that post you make in the Feature Request board here so other neighbors that come to this thread can easily find your feature!

Hi @mjans71. We do have a feature that might work for you. It is our [Entry/Exit Delay](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030784072-Setting-Ring-Alarm-Entry-and-Exit-Delays). This allows you to configure a set time so you can have a few moments to arm/disarm the alarm before the loud siren goes off. We also have a volume control on the Base Station. You just select the Base Station in the Ring app, then select Audio Settings. Then you can make your late night snack runs in peace!
