Ademco 4219 Zone Expander / Ring Retrofit
troubleshooting
Is it possible for me to take zones out of my 4219 zone expander and wire them into a Ring Retrofit? I see that zone expanders are called out as not compatible - but what about the zones inside of the expander? The resistors are 1kohm so should be in range in theory? Anybody have any experience / success with this? Thanks.

Hi @user_d84ba3. You can find our Frequently Asked Questions regarding the Retrofit Alarm Kit here. I wouldn't recommend trying to use incompatible accessories, as there is no guarantee they would work properly.
