Mailbox sensor

So, when the mailbox sensor goes off it always asks if I have retrieved the mail but the only is to tap for yes, but what if I did not, no way to tell it that it was a false sense?!? and I can't do anything else with that sensor in the app unless I tap for yes. I have it set on low sensitivity but I still get occasional false senses. My mailbox is black metal and no light gets in, and no bugs inside so not sure why the false alarms.
