Gen 2 ring doorbell not compatible with solar panel for Gen2?
I have a GEN2 Ring door bell with built in wifi and camera, currently charged by battery. Purchased from John Lewis in 2019 definitely says GEN2. Purchased Solar panel from Amazon saying compatible with GEN 2 door bell but there is no socket on the back of the doorbell for the solar panel micro usb plug?

I have the same problem. Just bough a doorbell and chime and solar panel all gen 2 and the solar panel has a USB micro plug which is incompatible with the USB-C of the doorbel. I assume I can return the solar panel and get the right one ?

CHi @user_30227e. You can find information on our return policy here. Make sure to verify the exact Ring Doorbell model you have, as you will need to get the Ring Solar Panel that is compatible with that model. For example, there is a Video Doorbell 2 and a Video Doorbell 2nd Gen, which are different. You can find the device name on the Device Health page in the Ring app.
