Ring App not compatible with older Android phones. Terrible support

I bought a Mail box sensor then found out I need a Ring bridge which I also bought.  I couldn't get the bridge to connect to my wifi so I called Ring Support.  First thing the support person said was you need the latest version of the Ring App  so delete your existing Ring App and down load the latest Ring App.  I delete my existing app and went to the play store and entered "Ring" and was immediately told that the app was not compatible with my phone.  the latest Android version I can upgrade to on my phone is version 8. There s no place on the ring website to get an older version of the ring app..  So, now I can't access my ring doorbell and I can't use the Ring Mail Box sensor.  The support person tried to send me to Third person web sites but that was no help.  This is totally unacceptable,  by not informing the buyer that the latest version of Android is required.  Also, the support person should not have told me to delete my Ring app until he was sure I could download the latest version of the app'
