Arming disarming car cam

The one thing keeping the car cam from being great is the inablility to turn it on and off.I don’t need it to record when sitting in my driveway or garage.We should be able to shut it down or turn it on when we actually want the security.I don’t know if Ring monitors this but as it stands It is basically on until the car battery gets to some level and won’t restart until the car is started. My experience is at low or medium battery setting it will not stay on for long.
