Currently, more advanced and more expensive ‘spotlight cam pro’ does NOT currently offer smart responses. However, the less advanced and less expensive ‘spotlight cam plus’ DOES offer smart responses. That’s ridiculous. Offer smart responses for both.

Wow! I had just recently purchased and installed two Spotlight Cam Pro devices, without realizing Ring doesn't offer the Smart Responses feature with them. I plan to purchase seven more of those same cameras and two Floodlight Cam Pro devices. So, I certainly hope Ring will release an update for the app in the near future that includes the Smart Responses feature for the Spotlight Cam Pro and the Floodlight Cam Pro, if they haven't already done so. I agree 100% that it's ridiculous that they don't offer it for the more advanced and more expensive model, but they offer it for the less advanced and less expensive model. It doesn't make any sense. Where is the logic when the Ring team gets together to make these decisions? What would be another convenient update for the app is the ability to schedule on specific days and time-frames when you would like the Smart Responses feature to be on or off. Some people may prefer the Smart Responses feature to be off during the day, and on at night, but don't want to have to keep trying to remember to manually turn it on or off. Also, I noticed a design flaw with the mount for the Spotlight Cam Pro Battery. Since there is only one Security Screw and it's meant to be used for only one side of the mount, the other side of the mount is therefore not secure. I feel the side of the mount that doesn't have a Security Screw is way too loose. There's too much wiggle room. There should be two Security Screws for the mount. One gets screwed in on either side. That would make sure the mount is 100% secure, which would make sense. By the way, whatever happened to the Security Screw having a head that is not as common as a Phillips? The head of the Security Screw for the Spotlight Cam Pro is a Phillips head. Why isn't the head of that Security Screw something a lot less common, like that of the Security Screw for the video doorbells. The Security Screw for the doorbells have a star head. Just like the battery is universal for the battery-powered doorbells and the Spotlight Cam, the Security Screws should also be universal. They all should be the same size and have the same less common head, like the star head. That would make sense. Again, where is the logic when the Ring team gets together to make these decisions? If Ring would like to pick at my brain for more intelligent ideas, then please contact me. We can discuss salary as well.
