Deceased Client Account
My father passed away on February 10, 2025 after a horrific battle with cancer. We were unaware of his Ring subscription and after his account was charged this week, we called to cancel his subscription. The manager and her associate informed me that they could not cancel his subscription due to him not being here to authorize it. I offered to send a death certificate and any other required documentation as proof because I understand wanting to protect the privacy of your customers. They informed me (repeatedly) my only options were to go to the bank and dispute the charges or transfer his account to myself. I would like to confirm that Ring does not have a policy in place to allow a deceased person's account to be cancelled. we have not had this type of experience with any other companies,especially during such a difficult time.
