Hardwired battery doorbell. Battery draining.

Hi. I have the latest ring video doorbell with built in battery. I’ve hardwired this to my existing gate supply. 12v AC/1A The app shows the battery as charging and hardwired. However the battery % is draining. It was 89-% yesterday evening and now it’s 79%. It’s showed as charging all that time I’ve turned off things like live preview but no change. I’ve now turned off motion detection too It why is it draining if it’s hardwired? Is the 12v/1A supply not sufficient? I’m not watching the feed often at all, maybe just checking the status of the device every hour or two?

Hi @user_73a78d. Those were excellent steps to try for the type of concern you are having. I would also suggest factory resetting your Doorbell to see if it helps. To reset it, press and hold the setup button on it for 20 seconds, then reconnect it to your wifi. If you have tried this step and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call for further assistance. https://ring.com/support/contact-us/call
