Ring Doorbells and poor Wi-Fi connection

I originally bought the cheapest wired doobell and despite my router only being 8 feet away it constantly suffered poor Wi-Fi connectivity despite nothing else in my house thats connected ever complaining. In an effort to combat this I threw more money at the problem and purchased the Ring Pro 2 which is much better equipped regarding Wi-Fi connection. End result connection is not really any better so I have now spent even more money on a Pro Chime to sit 3 feet away from the Doorbell. Perhaps I will eat my words tomorrow but my current perception is that Ring Doorbells suffer from very poor wireless reception end of story.
