New Ring Door Bell 3, charging before gifting

Hello I bought a new Ring Bell for my mum, just took out of the box... plan is to head to hers during lunch to quickly set up/install. I want to have it fully charged before getting there (as wont be able to wait for it fully charge!), however, when trying to charge, its just got a white light/circle going round and round and I cant stop it! Probably draining battery also. Any ideas how to get it to charge please (note it has NOT been set up at all). Will set up tomorrow on my mums wifi/her location etc Thanks
