troubleshooting

Hi I had someone install my Ring Doorbell. However, I keep getting the message, motion detected, no video detected. Video connection lost. We've also entered the door and there is no detection notification. Should the Ring be connected to both the wifi and the wifi extender, if that's possible? How do I check the WIFI settings? Thanks for your help.

Hi @user62990. You can check the strength of your WiFi in the Ring app under the Device Health menu.

Hi Strength is RSSI-68 is gray now but it was green earlier . I bought a Wifi extender, but not sure how that goes together. Updated: Just reset Wifi and now its RSSI-46 green. Still not getting videos, just motion detected, wifi connection may have been lost. Any other suggestions? Thanks!! Thanks for your help

Hi @user62990. Could you please clarify what you mean when you say there are no videos? For example, are you unable to access the Live View, or are you unable to load a video from the Event History? Feel free to share screenshots of the error message you're receiving in the Ring app, so we can get a better idea of what you're seeing on your end.
