How to wire Ring Video Doorbell directly to transformer?
I bought this Ring Video Doorbell Ring Video Doorbell Wired (amazon.com). Can I wire it directly to the transformer? Amazon.com: Hardwired Transformer for Ring Wired Video Doorbells : Tools & Home Improvement Bypassing the house door chime and Ring jumper wire provided. Is a resister needed as seen in some information available?

Thank you for your response. as per your instructions, I installed my Ring Video Doorbell wired directly to a compatible transformer. It's working as intended. I'm glad I posted here because of the different installation steps per various models.

Hi @Jamin1969. To install the Video Doorbell Wired, please follow the instructions outlined here. If you have an existing chime kit, the provided jumper cable needs to be installed on the chime kit. If you do not have a chime kit installed, please refer to the wiring diagram here on how to connect the Doorbell Wired directly to a compatible transformer. Do not use a resistor when installing the Video Doorbell Wired. Different Ring Doorbell models will have different installation steps, so please only refer to content that applies to the model you have.
