extending wedge for better view

I installed a Ring 2 and a corner wedge kit that I had at my parents which works great but I need to actually have the doorbell come off the wall more to get a better view. Has anyone ever extended a coner wedge and if so what did you use? The wedge that is sold only creates angles up or down. The corner wedge works fine but just want the doorbell about a half inch off the wall.
