Will ring ever make a 2k or 4k resolution camera system?
will ring ever make a 2k or 4k resolution camera system? The camera system is amazing and i love the app but the resolution and nighttime IR can at times look very grainy. Whats the future looking like for Ring as i would rather wait a little bit for ring to catch up but if its not even a consideration ill go find a good 4k system

That is lame. RING has a market leadership position. If you want it to stay that way and up sell loyal customers in order to keep them in your ecosystem, it doesn’t take Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin rocket ship to figure out your customers want a higher resolution security camera.

I’ve been using ring since before Amazon but I’ve had enough with blurry videos, especially at night. I gave up and jumped to Arlo. Replaced 5 doorbells all HD or Pro, 3 stickup cams and chimes. While it’s not a perfect system, it has what I really need, clear images and high resolution, especially at night.

UI haven't jumped ship yet, but I tell anyone who asks me about them that they are better off looking elsewhere. I may not be hurting them much, but every little bit should help. There is absolutely no reason they should be this far behind their competition.

Ring is way behind on resolution quality, there is so many other 4k cameras available. I would love to see Ring come out with a 4k stick up camera. I have been a loyal customer for years but if Ring doesn’t improve their cameras they will probably lose a lot more than just my business
