Spotlight cam plus, solar panel.

I've recently installed the small ring solar panel to my spotlight cam plus, but just inquiring into why the sun and lightening bolt icons are still showing even at night. The battery is still dropping and slowly draining. Just wondering if anyone has or had the same problem. As ring help just said it means it's connected.
