Ring Stick Up Cam, people only mode, customized zones
I have a ring stick up cam that has a wire. I have unpluged the wire to use a spare battery. Do I lose people only mode and customized zones when I unplug the cord and use the battery? Those do not show up for me.

Thanks for the reply. I do not see a smart alerts area. I only have Event History, Mode Settings, Linked Devices, Motion snooze, Linked Chimes, Device Health, Motion Settings, Device Settings, and Help menus unnder the settings for the Stick upo cam. Is there a different menu I am supposed to see? My motion zones are only ON/OFF check boxes. I suppose you are saying that is all I should have, and I should not have the capability to draw a box around regions for zones. Is that correct?

C@ringuser07 My apologizes that you do not have the People Only mode setting on your phone to change! Since you do not have the Smart Alert tile to change People Only mode, do you see anything for it under Motion Settings? This should be the only other area for it, but if you still don't have it, rest assured the device should update with it in the near future, as it's possible you have yet to have that feature to your device. Once you see the Smart Alert tile, you can utilize it from there! Sorry for any confusion on the People Only mode side of things. For the Motion Zones, you are indeed correct! You will only have the on/off zones you can adjust, and no option to draw customized zones at this time for that camera. :)

RIs there a way to force the update to my device? Is that a ring app update I need or a camera software update?

WI have the same problem, no person detection on the Mains Powered Stick up cam 3rd gen. Also it has a permanet critical battery warning, but it has no battery. I would assume that the Cam has the wrong firmware and thinks it's a Battery Powered Cam? How can I force update the firmware? Thsi should be an easy fix for Ring Support??????

Hey @ringuser07. People Only mode should still be available for you on your device, and should be available in a tile labeled Smart Alerts under your Device Profile page. What kind of customizable motion zones are you referencing? The Stick Up Cam 3rd Generation only has the motion settings as described [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022462472-Utilizing-Motion-Detection-with-your-Ring-Battery-Devices).
