Ring Floodlight & Cold weather
Is there a known issue with the Ring floodlight camera in cold weather? I am in southern Pennsylvania and it is not overly cold for long periods of time, but we do get a few days of zero degree days in the winter. I had a floodlight camera and the LEDs went back after about a year and a half and I was told that it may be because of the cold. I just find that hard to believe that they would develop a market a floodlight that would not work in this climate.

When it warms up will the light work as it should? I’m in central Wisconsin and the air temp is -18 and my light flashes when triggered. Is that going to be permanent?

JHi @user_aaf4c2. If your Camera is in regular temperatures that it can operate in, and it is still not working properly, give our support team a call for further assistance.

Hi @BJafRep. The Floodlight Cam has an operating range of -22°F to 120°F (-30°C to 48.5°C) and is also weather-resistant with an IP56 rating. I cannot speak to how the agent came to this conclusion, but there may have been extreme circumstances such as weather that exceeded the IP56 rating.
