Power Source for Stick up Cam Gen3
I bought the battery version of the above - 3 in total. I want to change to Powered from mains with mains adapter. None of the andap are available at the moment. My question is do you have to keep the battery in the cam if the Cam is connected to the mains adapter? I notice that the output of the adapter is 5volts 2.5 amps. Will a 1.00 Amp output adapter work? Look forward to hearing from an expert please.

Hi. Do you have any idea which adapter might suit. I’ve been looking online but don’t seem to be able to find one. I noticed you say 5 volts DC and 12.5 watt output. Does the ampage need to be 2.5 amps too. If you can point me in direction of a suitable power source that does away with battery I’d be really grateful. I tried the Ireland website but couldn’t get a UK delivery.

CHi @user81215. Unfortunately we cannot make any recommendations on third-party accessories, as we can’t guarantee its performance or effectiveness. For the Stick Up Cam, the minimum power requirements of a third-party adapter are 5VDC, 12.5W. I’d recommend looking at adapters starting with that information.

Hi @user81215. If you are using a power adapter to power your Stick Up Cam, you do not need to keep the battery in the camera. As for using an adapter with 1 amp, no, it will not work. This Help Center page states that if you are using a third-party adapter, it needs to meet the requirements of 5VDC and 12.5W.
