Infrared bleaches camera image
I’ve recently installed two Elite Stick Up cameras outdoors. The camera position means that about 10% of the image captures the side of the house, which is white in colour. At night, this seams to cause the white of the building to be a bright white and the rest of the image is really dark and it’s hard to see anything. I seem to have a work around solution, which is to cover the IR lights on the camera. This had me wondering if there were any settings to disable the IR lights or ways to block out a part of the image digitally so it doesn’t have this effect. Has anyone else experienced this or come up with a different solution? I feel like the IR lights are an intentional design feature but it just causes me problems and the camera works much better without them. This photo shows the difference made by covering the IR lights.

Hi @martyn84. The only way to get around this would be to position the camera differently. The IR lights will wash out the image and confuse the contrast, making it hard to see the whole picture.
