Camera with SIM card

Hi team,I believe Ring does not have any camera capable of using a SIM card (like a mobile phone) instead of WiFi. This camera would be too far from my router (5 floors below, to be precised).Any suggestion (Wifi repeater is not an option!) would be welcome! Thanks,Ana

Hi @avillar. The only option aside from having a wifi connection available within range of the camera, would be to install a Stick Up Cam Elite. The Stick Up Cam Elite uses Power over Ethernet, so you wouldn't have to worry about a wifi signal. However, the wiring would need to be in place for this.

You are right, there are no SIM cameras in Ring's range. There are SIM cameras out there, check Amazon, but of course it won't be tied to your Ring account. You say a repeater isn't an option. How about improving your wifi? TP-Link Deco Mesh offer an Outdoor node called the X50-Outdoor and it can be configured to emit a vertical signal. If you can mount the module outside a window giving it a power supply, it can link to an indoor Deco node or direct to your existing router. If this is of interest, let me know and I'll try to answer any questions. :-)
