incorrect expiry warning after upgrade
Hello, I have had a standard Ring Doorbell for years and subscribed to the protect plan. I recently upgraded to the ring Video Doorbell Pro and now I am getting constant warnings about my protect plan expiring. Do I need to take a plan for each doorbell? If so can I get a refund on any unused time on the old doorbell? Thanks,Erik

Hi @ErikCarlson. Our Ring Protect Basic Plan covers 1 Ring device at one location. If you upgrade to a new Video Doorbell Pro, your [Ring Protect Plan](https://en-uk.ring.com/pages/protect-plans) does not automatically transfer over. You would need to cancel your Ring Protect Plan for your old Doorbell, and subscribe your Doorbell Pro to a entirely new plan. Upon cancelling your old Ring Protect Plan, you will receive a pro-rated refund based off of the amount of time used. If you need help with this process , please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support. We're taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19. This has resulted in longer than normal wait times.
