Ring Mailbox Sensor with Amazon Sidewalk
When will the Ring Mailbox Sensor work with Amazon Sidewalk? I purchased the the Sensor and it works fine in my home, but once I get to the mailbox it will not connect. What is the range of the sensor.

Congrats. I think it is a great device. I am on the 4th floor of a building with elevators and about 100 other wi fi signals very close together. The mailbox sensor almost reaches (about 10 feet shy) the mailbox. I ordered a YO Link which claims to have the longest distance and designed especially for interference. I wish Amazon would add a cell adapter or get Sidewalk to work. I plan on moving to a higher floor at some point.

MHey there, neighbors! You'll be happy to know that Sidewalk is available via the Ring app. Check out our [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032492292-Sidewalk-Information) about SIdewalk for more information on how it works. Here is also our [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032524592-Opting-In-and-Out-of-Sidewalk) about opting in, or out, of Sidewalk. More about Sidewalk can be found in the Control Center section of your Ring app. I hope this helps! :)

OThank you, On the website, [https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Sidewalk](https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Sidewalk), a motion detector is not listed as a compatible device. But, at the top of the page it mentions Motions Detectors "Amazon Sidewalk is a shared network, coming later this year, that helps devices like Amazon Echo devices, Ring Security Cams, outdoor lights, and motion sensors work better..." But when you go to Control Center (in the App) and scroll down to Sidewalk Bridge Devices only cameras are there and there is NO WAY to CONNECT the MOTION DETACTOR. I plan on returning the RING and getting the YO LINK. They claim to have the longest distance and use LoRa technology. LoRa enables long-range transmissions and can reach 10 KM in Rural areas. I posted this in the other thread about range. Hope this helps some. My distance is 65 feet between the bridge and mailbox. I have my bridge at the interior front wall of the house next to a picture window and the front garden bed has a good amount of shrubs between the bridge and mailbox sensor line of sight. No issues receiving sensor alerts thus far. And so far I really like this thing!
