Ring Chime will not connect to network

I installed the door bell with no issues. Connected to the network first time and online. The chime bell - that's a different story. I tried it on both the extender- what the bell is connected to, and the router direct. All other devices in the house can connect to either I did try to reset the router and all but that makes no difference. The chime will eventually turn red for a period of time and go back to flashing blue. What can I do to make this work?
