You should open the sensor, remove the battery, and really let it dry out totally. While Ring "Alarm Flood and Freeze" sensor is engineered to be air-tight, it is not meant to be submerged under water during normal operation. You can aid the drying process by placing it in some rice too. [https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021558531-Ring-Alarm-Flood-Freeze-Sensor-Information](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021558531-Ring-Alarm-Flood-Freeze-Sensor-Information) If after you are completely sure it is totally dry and you replaced the battery, and it still is not functioning correctly, it has a one-year limited warranty (even warrantied past one-year with an Extended Warranty if you have a subscription to the Ring Protect "Plus" plan). - **Protect Plus Plan** - includes an extended warranty which will extend your device's original warranty. Once the original warranty expires, the device will be covered under Ring Protect Plus until you discontinue your subscription.
