Unfortunate policy - item returns

Does anyone have insight to get beyond the standard front line "support" blockade?  I'm attempting to return brand new, never unsealed items to Ring - yes beyond the 30 days, but only because I ordered 9 days before they extended the window for returns to Jan 31st.  All I get is the "you are beyond the return window for these items."
