Unauthorized Ring charge
Has anyone else had an unauthorized ring charge from ring’s headquarters? I called customer service but nothing shows on their end. Unfortunately my bank had to freeze my card. This incident happened today for me, not sure if anyone else had this suspicious problem before…

I dont have multiple locations and only have a monthly plan for 1 camera and is not due yet until the 30th. However, this charge was coming from ring santa monica in the amount of 107 dollars for the protect plus camera plan... Which i have not purchased. Unfortunately there's no way for me to call headquarters and like i said customer service has nothing showing... Maybe because it was done today. I have everything secured when it comes my accounts and it looks like ring may have gotten hacked?

Hi @user_36e13f. You can check your plan status by logging in on Ring.com. If you do not have a Ring account or a Ring Protect plan, please reach out to your financial institution to report any unauthorized charges.

Sorry to hear about this, @WilmingtonNC! A random charge should not happen. I recommend checking if any Ring Protect plans renewed recently. This can be confirmed by visiting Ring.com via web browser, logging in, and visiting your Plans section. In case you have multiple locations or have moved locations, please also check for any prior or other locations listed in your Ring app that might have an active plan. As the Community is a public neighbor to neighbor forum, we can help with suggestions like the ones above, but more direct support will be best obtained from our support team. You can reach out to our support team via one of the numbers available here. If you do not have a Ring account or any Ring Protect plans, then please contact your card provider to report an unauthorized charge.
