Ring is Scamming People!

I had a Ring floodlight camera that failed and Ring warrantied the camera and sent a new one. The return shipping label to send the faulty one back wasn’t in the box with the new camera. I have spent the past week on the phone with customer service trying to get a return label. They keep sending the same email to me with a new RMA number, advising that I’ll receive another email with the return label. That follow up email with the return label never arrives.  I’ve been a ring customer for four years now, but this is it for me. This is obviously a scam they are pulling to charge you for a new device by delaying the return of your faulty device past the 30 day return period. Buyer beware when considering purchasing a Ring device!!

Hi @user_7d6919. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble receiving a return label. Devices that are covered under warranty can be replaced under certain circumstances, so this is not a scam. If you haven't done so already, make sure you are checking your junk and spam folders to see if the return label is being sent there. If you have checked your junk and spam folders, and you still don't see the return label email, please follow up with our social support team on Facebook @Ring. They can take a closer look and see if this needs to be escalated due to the shipping label not arriving.

Yep, sounds like another typical low Ring tactic to me.

I’m not a big Ring fan but, please, stop with the overreaction.  Having worked with many such organizations I guarantee the cost of their agents’ time is costing them more than whatever they would make “by scamming you”, let alone the cost of causing a bad reputation.  Either they or you are having a technical issue getting you that 2nd email; that does not equate to causing you intentional harm.

I'm sure you wouldn't like it if you were in the OPs situation. In these days of high cost of living, every penny or cent counts and some people cannot afford to be scammed like this and could be the difference between a meal or not. It's only an overreaction if you are comfortably off. You should think about the situations of others, and not just yourself.
