Ring doorbell not recording all the time.

My door bell doesn’t seem to record incidents outside, twice now the police have asked for footage but my bell isn’t recording it. It’s not in the privacy zone, I have checked all settings. Seems my spotlight and camera in the garden doesn’t record all incidents either. My swing bed went flying across the garden and it wasn’t recorded.  Anyone know why this may be happening.  Thank you.

    Hi @user47467. At this time, Ring Doorbells and Security Cameras do not record 24/7. With an active Ring subscription, your devices will record when motion is detected, someone rings the bell, or Live View is activated. Motion detection concerns are typically resolved by adjusting the motion settings. Make sure you have your Motion Zones set to cover the areas you want to be notified about motion in. You can also increase the Motion Sensitivity as needed. If you have an active Ring subscription, you'll also have access to Smart Alerts to further refine your motion detection. I'd recommend checking your Smart Alerts settings to verify that recording isn't turned off for Other Motion. Lastly, keep in mind that events that occur farther out from your Ring Doorbell or Camera will be harder to detect than events that occur closer to the device.
