Wifi 2.4 and 5.0 slector on Doorbells
Some of your doorbells like the new Ring 3 have wifi 2.4 and 5.0 standard both enabled. But my Ring is continiously swapping between 2.4 and 5.0 with at 2.4 the lowest RSSI value of -30 and on 5.0 often -71 which is poor in case of 5.0. Throughput in both case is 68 mbit up and down which is far more then needed. When on 5.0 then too many times and randomly the signal is lost and for the Ring it takes too long time to build up a connection again which sometimes takes more than an hour. Weird when you think about the fact that the distance between the ring and my wireless router is only 2 meters and there is no other wifi signal in my area from neighbors and with wifi analyzer I also do not see any other signals. My network is mesh where both 2.4 and 5.0 must have the same SSID name for mesh to run properly. So to have different SSID names for 2.4 and 5.0 is not an option. Can you extent the Ring3 setup with the ability to either enable 2.4, 5.0 or both?
