Recommendation: remote test capability in Ring App for existing chime after Doorbell Pro (wired) installation
I had reached out to Ring Support to troubleshoot my newly installed Ring wired Doorbell Pro. My existing mechanical chime was not functioning properly after connecting the Pro-Power Kit. We successfully made the setting changes via the Ring App and it seems to work now. Thank you for your assistance. Strong recommendation: I had to walk quite a distance from my front door after pressing the button on the Doorbell Pro, to where the existing Chime is located to make sure it was sounding right. I had to repeatedly do this and leave my phone near the Chime so that the support person could hear it while I walked back and forth. It would be extremely helpful, and would have saved us a lot of time, if the Ring App had a feature to make the Doorbell Pro send a signal to the Chime for test purposes.
