Mode Setting for dash cam in Home setting

It would be nice to have a mode setting when your car is in a secure garage and you can turn off the cameras. There is no need to have it running all the time the car is in a secure place. I know you can unplug the device, but that is a sensitive plug mechanics and smog needs to use and it's wear and tares to the plug. How hard can it be to set up a mode for the Car Cam when it comes in range of the supported Wi-Fi to be able to turn off the camera in a secure garage? I would imagine a student in their first year of programming classes would be able to create one. You've set up for cameras in home and doorbell cameras. So I know you have the capability. Save our batteries. Please.
