Amazon Alexa + Ring
Stuck because of old account.
Ok for years my parents have had a ring doorbell. We updated it last year. But a long time ago I created an account for myself with my aol email. It was too check on their ring when they were away. Well during prime day I got a Ring indoor cam version 2. I tried to make an account for just that with my email for my appartment. However my old email shows up as already in use. I tried changing it and could change the password... but now it wants a code. However its been long enough that the phone I used to use back then was traded in, and I have a new pc. Meaning I can no longer get a code from a device already logged into the account once. Since that AOL email account has nothing on it (cams or plans) I made a new account with my yahoo email. It worked fine till I tried to link my amazon account. My amazon is under my aol email. And when I tried to link the accounts on the app it greys out the yahoo email so I can not change it. So I can not link the account to work with my amazon devices. Can I add the yahoo email to amazon to let them link with the AOL amazon account? Does the email for ring have to be the same as the amazon account?
