How to get alerts with live view on a TV, iPad or 3rd party device like Echo Show
troubleshooting
wireless-security-cameras

Hey everyone: my goal is to have a live view alert pop-up either on the TV, iPad or Echo Show (which I have not purchased yet). I have Alexa installed on my iPhone, iPad, and Amazon TV (Gen2) but while I can get alerts on the iPhone and iPad, I cannot get them on the TV. The primary use case is listening to loud music and not hearing the alert. I hoped the iPad would work, but now I think I need a device like Echo Show to get a visual alert that motion has occured. Thanks!

Hi there, @MacG19! You can certainly integrate Ring with Alexa enabled devices. Connecting Ring devices with Alexa is a simple process. To accomplish this, you’ll need to add Ring as a skill in your Alexa app. Once this is accomplished, you’ll be able to use a variety of Alexa-enabled devices with your Ring devices. Here is a list of [compatible Alexa enabled devices](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031246412-Ring-Supported-Alexa-enabled-Devices), and our [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360031246432-Using-Alexa-to-control-your-Ring-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-) with instructions on adding this integration. I hope this helps! :)

Hi, Alexa on my Fire TV stick (2nd Gen) says "I did not find a group or device named Front Door". I want to get doorbell set up on my TV, as per the original post. I have followed the instructions from the reply above, installed the Alexa app, and linked the Ring device. My devices list on the Alexa app now shows:- - Mrs's Fire TV stick (which matches the name shown on my TV "My Fire TV" settings) - Alexa on this phone - Front Door Front Door is the name of my Ring doorbell, and was added when I linked the devices. I have clicked on it and enabled both motion announcements and doorbell announcements in Alexa and set up a nice chime. I can view the doorbell video from the Alexa app. But when I press the doorbell, I only get an alert from my Ring App, nothing from my TV. My Sony TV runs an Amazon Fire TV stick (2nd Gen), which is listed as a compatible device. When I ask Alexa on the TV: "Alexa, show Front Door" Alexa says "I did not find a group or device named Front Door". (The same instruction to the Alexa app gets the response "Sorry, cameras don't work on this device" even though, as stated, I can in fact view the live video from the Alexa app). I also asked Alexa on the TV to find devices, in case it helped, but Alexa said she couldn't find any new devices. Can you help?

Hi @Pete11. Have you ensured that you are logged in on all devices with the same account/email? If you are, it may be best to reach out to the [Amazon Alexa support team](https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=202009680) to see if they can identify why your Alexa device will not discover you Doorbell.
