using ring bridge to control existing floodlights
we have some existing halogen flood lights that light up the driveway area. they are controlled by a standard wall switch. we also have a ring doorbell. by question is whether i can turn the existing floodlights on and off using the ring system. i have looked at the ring bridge and if i understand properly it can be used to turn ring lights on and off. so if i replaced the existing halogen lights with ring floodlights with cameras i believe i could use the bridge to turn on all the lights even if only one camera or the doorbell sensed motion. it this correct? i would have to leave the existing wall switch in the on position so the ring lights have power. how long would they stay on if motion was sensed? is there any way to manually turn these lights on without the motion sensor sensing motion and leave them on until you manually turned them off?on our back deck we have several wall lights in fixtures. it looks like i could take out th existing bulbs and put a ring A19 bulb into each fixture and install a motion sensor. would that motion sensor be able to turn all the deck lights on when it sensed any motion using the bridge? again would there be any way to also manually turn these ring lights on and off without the motion sensor sensing motion?now go back to the halogen floodlights. i would like ring to turn them on if the doorbell sensed motion. ring makes a product call the outdoor plug. it would take a bit of wiring but if i installed an outdoor plug in the existing circuit that powered the floodlights, and then plugging the floodlights into the plugs on the ring outdoor plug, would this allow the bridge to turn the existing floodlights on when a motio sensor or the doorbell sensed motion?thanks for any advice you can offer!

Hi @user_0b7664. You're very close to understand how all of this works. The Ring Bridge controls Ring Smart Lighting devices using Light Groups. If you have a Security Camera or Doorbell, you can use the Linked Devices feature to link them with your Smart Lights. Essentially, yes, you can do all the things you've described, we just get there in a different way. Let me know if you have addidtional questions.
