Do I need. Bridge?

Hello pretty new at this. So I have a floodlight camera set up, get the alerts to my phone ect. I recently bought a non camera floodlight for my backyard. However when I was about to open it, it said on the box that a bridge is needed. So my question is do I really need this bridge? All I want this second light for is my yard and to get notifications when there’s movement. I don’t have any other ring products either. I don’t see the purpose of this bridge if I don’t need it. Help, anyone?
