Auto shut off timers with light groups

troubleshooting

Hello, All of a sudden I cannot keep my light groups on. For almost a year now I've been able to turn on my kitchen lights with 1 click and they stay on until I turn them off. Now, I only have the option for 30 seconds, 1 minute, and 5 minutes before they auto shut off. I cannot for the life of me figure out why an "always on" option isn't available for a light group. Can someone please shed some light on what I can do? Thank you.

Hi @user41220. Can you share which devices you have in your kitchen Light Group? Additionally, can you share a screenshot of the options you're presented with when you turn the Light Group on? This will give me a better idea of what you're seeing on my end, and allow me to clarify the intended behavior with my team.

Hello Caitlyn, Thanks for reaching out. I am using all a19 bulbs in my kitchen area, as well as other places in the house. All light groups are experiencing the same problem. As requested, here are some pictures describing my problem. ![IMG_0100.PNG|231x500](upload://vh8cYGOP004bzqg3cw69Fa4xR1O.jpeg) I was going to upload multiple pictures but I am limited to 1 since I'm a new user. This picture shows the options available both when turning on a group light, and also what I see within light settings. No option for "always on until I turn off" For a year now we've been able to turn on these groups and leave them on all day. This issue has just suddenly occurred to where we can only leave them on for a short period of time. If you could please shed some light on this (no pun intended) we would appreciate it! Thank you,

@user41220 Thanks for sharing that screenshot. Having a battery powered device in a Light Group will require an auto-shutoff timer, due to the limitation of battery life. If your Light Group has only wired devices, including bulbs like the A19 bulb, you should have the "until I turn off" option when toggling the Light Group on. My team is aware of a bug where this option is not showing up when it should, and are actively working on a fix. In the meantime, the recommendation is to manage the A19 Bulbs individually to have the "until I turn off" option. Thank you for your feedback and patience as we work on getting this resolved.

Thanks for the reply! We will watch for that fix and manage each bulb individually for now. Have a nice day.

Having the same exact issue. I have to turn the lights on again every 15 minutes. Hope the fix comes soon because I don’t want to reprogram all these bulbs again - and my entire house is automated with them. It’s been a pain.

I am having the sand issue. “until I turn it off” I’d no longer an option on my iPhone ring app. I have to manually turn back on every 15 minutes. I called customer service and they said the developers team would look into it - could take 48 hours to update. So strange one day it all just stopped working and defaulted to only 30 seconds, 1 min, 5 min, 15 min as my only options.
