Smart Lighting
All of my ring smart lights say they are offline
All of my lights were successfully connected to my bridge and worked flawlessly. A week or two later still fine but all of sudden the light symbol on the app started saying offline. The bridge still says it's online but all of the lights say they are offline. I've reset the bridge, changed networks, logged out/into, and cleared the cache of the app. No success so the only I have yet to do is remove and add all the lights back to my home. Before I do that is there anything less hands on I can do for this issue?

This is happening to me as well. I've reset and power cycled the bridge a million times. logged out and back in of the Ring App, disconnected and re-connected it from my Amazon account. The bridge's firmware version shows as 1.8.60-6. Many of my lights are plugged in, and I have different types of lights. So this is not specific to batteries or any particular type of light. I even tried purchasing another bridge and that didn't work either, since none of my lights show as connected to the new bridge. I was able to confirm that the firmware version of the new bridge was the same. Don't tell me I need to reconnect all my Ring lights to the bridge again. This would be an awful experience. Anything else I can do?

CHi @Stevenciu. I would recommend following up with our support team on this matter since you have several different types of Smart Lights, but they're all experiencing the same issue despite the troubleshooting steps you've taken. You can reach our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus). Thanks, unfortunately I will have to reset and reconnect all of the lights that show as offline. Apparently, something happened that those lights did not get the latest update.

The same is happening to me. My lights worked fine for several months, then went offline. After some googling, I rebooted the bridge, and that worked. For about a month. Now my lights are offline again, and rebooting didn’t work, so I reset the bridge by unplugging, as suggested here. Nope. Lights are still off.one. I guess I now have to… what? Remove the lights from my account? When I go through this process, I stop at the red warning that tells me removing the lights from my account is permanent. Is this literally true, or will I be able to add the lights back to my account? There’s certainly a light bulb joke in here somewhere… How many support thread posts does it take to turn on a light bulb?? 🤪

Hi @userjl. The warning you see is basically letting you know that once you remove the Smart Light, it's irreversible, and you can't add it to your account again until you do another setup of it. You are okay to remove your Smart Lights and add them again with a new setup. If you are still having the same concern after setting them back up again, reach out to our support team to further investigate.

This should certainly not be happening, @TeddyBrown! You've covered some great steps here, especially in ensuring the Bridge is online. Please power cycle the Bridge, unplugging from power and plugging back in, and bring some of your Smart Lighting devices inside to see if they will connect. I recommend also charging the batteries of your Smart Lighting devices. The next best step will be to check for updates in the Ring. Check out our [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041779251-Updating-the-Firmware-on-your-Smart-Solar-Lighting) for steps on updating the firmware for your Smart Lighting devices. I hope this helps! :)
