Ring Doorbell 4 Battery Discharging Fast
Recently the battery in my Ring Doorbell 4 has been discharging to very low in about two weeks. I've reduced all of the motion settings etc etc but still the SOC drops like a stone. I have two batteries that I use in rotation, so its not one faulty battery. The only change I have recently made is changing my WiFi router in the house - can't see that this would create any problems.

I spent 30mins with Ring customer service agent who has a specific script to follow. RSSI good, full charged battery, default settings as per Ring factory settings, attached a new Solar Charger from Ring - end result still same 2weeks of battery. Ring answer is reduce motion frequency to max 600-800 per year to make battery last - so 2-3 events per day. Why don't I stick a poster "come rob the place as ring door bell wont detect your presence" on the front of my house. What a joke then this is not better than a standard door bell!!!!

Hi @WilkoUK. What is the RSSI for your Doorbell? This information can be found in the Device Health section of the Ring app. The RSSI can affect your battery life if it is too low. A low RSSI will cause your Doorbell to "work harder" to transmit data, therefore using more battery. Try resetting your Doorbell by pressing and holding the Setup Button for 20 seconds, then releasing. Once you've completed that, reconnect it to WiFi to see if your RSSI has improved, as well as the battery life. Let me know if this is helpful.
