Ring Doorbell 2 mains powered
hardwired-battery-video-doorbell
Hi, I'm looking to being able to plug in my Ring Doorbell 2 so I won't have to keep charging the battery. I've seen many third party plugin transformers but can't find a official Ring one? I've also read a resistor should be fitted but none of the third party transformers say you do, so I'm very confused? Any help would be great please. I'm based in the UK, in case it makes a difference. Thanks

Hey @Ninko. Would you like to wire the Ring Video Doorbell 2 directly to a transformer, or would you like to wire it through an internal chime kit? To wire it directly to a transformer, you can learn more about what that looks like in our Help Center Article [here. ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115003495766-How-to-Connect-Your-Ring-Video-Doorbell-2-Directly-to-a-Low-Voltage-Transformer-Without-a-Pre-existing-Doorbell-)We do not sell a Ring official transformer for our UK neighbors at this time, so you will need to contact a licensed electrician if you're needing one.
