Replacement transformer and Pro Power Kit 2?
I have a Ring Video Doorbell Pro that was wired to the Ring transformer (AUBT1-24) and a Ring Pro Power Kit V2 in bypass mode. It has been working fine for years. The transformer recently burnt out and I need a replacement. I can\t see the exact replacement in the Ring products. Should I use the DIN Rail Transformer (2nd Gen) and does that also need the Ring Pro Power Kit V2 connected to it? FYI - I don't have any other doorbell wired into the system but Ring advised me to use the Pro Power Kit V2. Thanks for your help.

Just to clarify on this one, I have a Wired Doorbell Plus (old Video Doorbell Pro) and it has a power input of 16-24 VAC. I bought it in 2020/2021. The DIN Rail Transformer (2nd Gen) has a 24V DC output. Do Ring sell replacements for the Ring transformer (AUBT1-24) transformer as these have an AC output (8-12-24VAC)? My wired Ring doorbell needs AC not DC. Thanks

JHi @user_97a201. The Din Rail Transformer is the only transformer we have available on Ring.com in the UK that is compatible with your Wired Doorbell Plus even if its from 2020 or 2021.

Hi Justin Thank you for the reply. I have wired the DIN Rail Transformer (2nd Gen) into the circuit and my Wired Doorbell Plus does not work. Are you sure that this 2nd Gen transformer works with the old doorbells? I'm just surprised given that my Wired Doorbell Plus says on the side that it requires an AC input (16-24V) which was what the old Ring transformer supplied and the Wired Doorbell Plus worked fine with it. It doesn't work with this 2nd Gen Din Rail Transformer and I am assuming it is because the new transformer supplies DC (24V) and not AC. I rang Ring Technical Support and they weren't very sure. Thanks for your help

Hi @user_97a201. The DIN Rail Transformer is compatible with the following doorbell models: Video Doorbell Wired, Video Doorbell Pro and Wired Video Doorbell Pro (Video Doorbell Pro 2). Your existing mechanical or digital chime kit should be bypassed using the Pro Power Kit.I'd recommend reviewing the installation instructions here to ensure everything has been set up correctly. If you're still running into issues, our support team can take a closer look. You can reach out at one of the numbers here, or on Facebook @Ring by sending a private message.

Hi @user_97a201. Correct, the DIN Rail Transformer will be adequate for the Ring Pro.
