Night images and white spots

Hi all,I’ve had my ring doorbell for a year now and only just getting round to posting this. At night time with night vision or with normal vision and outside light on I get soooo many white dots on my view that it’s useless!!! I’ve cleaned the lens and there is no water on it that I can see, anyone one else had this? Or know how to fix it?
