Missed parcel thief at front door

The ring constantly misses events. The other day I can see the parcel man deliver my parcel, leave on the front door and drive off. Next image is someone walking past my gate - but the gate is different from how the parcel man left it. Then I go out 30 mins later to look for the parcel. Someone has come to my front door and taken the parcel and not picked up by my ring - which is facing directly at the gate in broad daylight. This technology is rubbish. My ring is 1 m from my internet router and battery fully charged.
