Wired Ring Doorbell Pro not ringing physical doorbell

I installed my Ring Doorbell Pro on my new build home and I can’t get the doorbell to ring the mechanical doorbell in my home. I installed the Pro Power Kit onto my mechanical doorbell as instructed. When I short the two wires on the doorbell side together, I can get the mechanical doorbell to ring. However, when I attach the two wires to the Ring Doorbell Pro, I get nothing. In the app, I have already checked in the settings that it is set to “Mechanical” for doorbell. Some people in the forums mention an auto detect, but I do not see that as an option. Not sure what else to try. Please help!
