Event History not recording on Trial?

I just installed my new ring doorbell 2. I'm getting motion alerts. I go to look at them. Says I need a subscription. I am on the 30 day trial. I decided to sign up for the basic plan. Now there is no event history despite a dozen motion notifications over the last 24 hours.
