Converting my ring door bell 4 to a wired version

Hi, I have a Ring Door Bell 4. I want to convert it to a hardwired version, as I’m finding the battery is draining very fast and it’s inconvenient to me now. I’m hoping to hire an electrician for this as I don’t have any wiring setup for a doorbell in my house. He suggested buying the Ring Transformer for this purpose. May I check with you if the Ring Transformer in your website is compatible with ring door bell 4 for this purpose?

Hi @djmalaka. When hardwiring the Video Doorbell 4, a compatible doorbell transformer is required with an output of 24V AC at 40VA. The Ring Transformer provides 16V AC at 30 VA, so it would not be compatible with the Doorbell 4. Another power option for the Doorbell 4 is the Plug-In Adapter (2nd Gen), which can provide continuous power.
