amazon-alexa

At Ring we are always working to bring more integrations for you to use with your devices. The Alexa Guard and Alexa Guard Plus features are a great way to get even more from your Ring Alarm and supported Amazon Echo Devices including Echo Show, Echo Dot, Echo Plus, and Echo. **Alexa Guard** is a free feature that can detect the sound of smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, or glass breaking, when you set Guard to Away mode. If you have the Ring Alarm you can also use it to arm your system when you set Alexa Guard to Away mode. Learn more, [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054626431). **Alexa Guard Plus** is a subscription service that includes all the Alexa Guard features with additional detection, deterrence, and assistance capabilities. Such as, detecting activity sounds like footsteps or doors closing when you set Guard to Away mode. Even better, the Alexa Guard Plus subscription is free if you already have the Ring [Protect Plus Plan](https://ring.com/protect-plans) and are based in the US, all you need to do is [link](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034187232-Linking-Your-Ring-Account-to-Your-Amazon-Account) your Ring and Amazon accounts and complete Guard Plus setup in the Alexa app. Learn more, [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054626431). Learn more about these features and how to connect them in this [Ring Help Center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054626431). **Note:** Alexa Guard Plus is currently only available in the United States. We will make sure to update here if this changes.

When I try to link Ring and Amazon, the ring app says that my Ring account is already connected to an amazon account. I've already unlinked my ring account many times and I've tried to relink multiple times but I keep getting the same message. Is there a way to let me know which amazon account my ring account is linked to? That seems like the only way to fix this problem. I've been trying to link these for 2.5 years and no one from amazon nor ring has been able to assist. Pleas help.

You can link and unlink your Ring and Amazon account at anytime. https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034187232-Linking-Your-Ring-Account-to-Your-Amazon-Account To unlink your Amazon account, open the Ring App: 1. Tap the three-lined menu icon ( **≡** ) on the top left 2. Tap **Account** from the side menu 3. Tap **Amazon** under **Linked Accounts** 4. Select **Unlink Account.** If you are receiving the message that another account is linked, try checking your Amazon account to confirm any details of another linked account. You can also review your past Ring or Amazon accounts used, which might have been linked in the past.
