Stick up Cam motion

I’ve just purchased a stick up cam.... it’s looking out of a window into garden. Live view is great but it won’t recognise motion.....HELP!

We're here to help, @sparkseeeee. Windows generally block heat sources, which means when the Ring device uses PIR (Passive Infrared) to detect motion, the Ring device will not be able to detect the motion through a window. Depending on your device model, this could vary between day and night as mentioned in this [help center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360022461232-Motion-Detection-in-Powered-Ring-Devices).
