Recording length for indoor cam

I have a neighbor that is coming into my house. I put a camera in my kitchen and he walks past the camera and then goes upstairs. I thought he was making just quick trips upstairs until I saw that the six times he has come in, the time of recording is the same. I think he is staying upstairs in my bedroom longer than I thought. I now have cameras upstairs but he has not returned in a couple of days. My question is....if the recording is 1:06 seconds every time is this capturing two different episodes? . I see him come in, walk upstairs and then I see him come around the corner from the stairs and exit all on one 1:06 second video. I am assuming he is staying upstairs longer than I thought....help.
