Outdoor stick up cam (3rd Gen) not working during the cold weather
Just wondering if anyone have the same problem. My outdoor stick up cam went offline during the cold weather few weeks a ago. I followed instruction to reconnect the device. When I pressed the orange button, the light was not flashing even the battery was fully charged. My warranty is over already now. What should I do next? I feel like the only option I have is to buy a new one.

Hi @user_a3c164. Cold weather has a negative impact on the lithium-ion batteries used in Ring Cameras, including the Stick Up Cam. The battery may not hold a charge as effectively, or at all depending on how cold it is. You can learn more here. Once the weather warms up, you'll likely see your Stick Up Cam operating normally again.

I noticed the cold weather not only reduces battery but also reduces wifi distance by about 20% However if the distance reduces to silly levels as occured a few years ago with my dual floodlight cam where I had to place a wifi booster 50cm away (other side of the wall) whilst the router was 7 meters away, then actually that is not normal and you should call them under warranty if you have a plan. I had put up with the above as it worked but then the lights and camera stopped working so had no choice but to call them again.

If you have a subscription, your camera is still covered under warranty. It does sound like its life expired though.
